Acupuncture

Comprehensive stem cell treatment tailored to meet your needs

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and balance in the body’s energy, also called “qi” or “chi.”

According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, qi flows through energy channels in the body known as meridians. By stimulating specific points along these meridians with acupuncture needles, acupuncturists aim to restore the balanced flow of energy in the body and promote healing.

Acupuncture can be used to treat a variety of conditions, such as chronic pain, headaches, anxiety, digestive disorders, and fertility issues. While the exact mechanisms behind how acupuncture works are still being studied, research suggests that it may stimulate the release of endorphins, which are natural pain-relieving chemicals in the body. Acupuncture may also have anti-inflammatory effects and help promote blood circulation.

Acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed by a trained and licensed practitioner using sterile needles. However, as with any medical treatment, it may carry some risks, such as slight bleeding or bruising at the insertion sites. It’s important to talk to a healthcare provider before trying acupuncture and to make sure to receive treatment from a qualified practitioner.

Combination of acupuncture and stem cell therapy

Acupuncture and stem cell therapy are two distinct forms of treatment that can be used individually or in combination for neurological disorders.

The combination of acupuncture and stem cell therapy for neurological disorders is a relatively new approach, while acupuncture may potentially help with symptom management and overall well-being, stem cell therapy holds the promise of regenerative effects.

Process

During an acupuncture session, the acupuncturist will first ask questions about your medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle to help determine the best treatment plan for you. They’ll then examine your tongue, check your pulse, and sometimes feel for tender points on your body.

After this assessment, the acupuncturist will have you lie down on a comfortable table, and they’ll insert thin needles into specific points on your body. The needles are usually left in place for anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour, depending on the desired effect.

You may feel a slight tingling or dull ache when the needle is inserted. However, acupuncture is generally not painful, and most people find it relaxing and calming.

Once the needles are in place, you’ll be asked to lie still and relax for several minutes while the treatment takes effect. Some acupuncturists may also use heat, electricity, or massage during the session to enhance the effects of the treatment.

After the treatment, the acupuncturist will remove the needles and may offer dietary or lifestyle recommendations to help support your health and well-being.

Overall, the exact process of acupuncture can vary depending on the individual practitioner and the specific condition being treated. It’s important to talk to your acupuncturist about what to expect during your treatment and to ask any questions you may have beforehand.
